Business Insider’s Jonathan Willis has compiled a list of the world’s top 10 most expensive cities for footwear and apparel, based on the total price per unit of footwear and clothing.
It’s not all bad news for the footwear industry, however, as some of the most expensive markets in the world have been in recent years, including New York, Hong Kong and London.
London was the most affordable city in the list, at just £9.49, according to our database, and it’s no surprise that there are so many styles of footwear available there.
There’s no denying that London is a city that loves to dress up, but we’re not going to be buying a new pair of shoes anytime soon.
We also didn’t see many options for casual attire, though there are plenty of streetwear options available.
The cheapest fashion shoes and apparel in London, according of the database, are from Sennheiser, Adidas, Reebok and Nike.
The top 10 cheapest cities for clothing are also in London.
We’re not sure what to make of this ranking of the citys most expensive shopping districts, but it’s a fascinating look at the way in which London has changed over the last couple of decades.
London is a big place, with lots of things to do, but some places have grown beyond the city limits.
It also comes as the city celebrates its centenary.
